The Global Institutionalization of Multicultural Education as an Academic Discourse

Multicultural education has been widely recognized as an educational approach to deal with social and cultural diversity towards a more inclusive just society. Conventional perspectives tend assume that multicultural would be of greater interest research topic in countries growing levels diversity. However, based on macro-phenomenological perspective, this study accounts for influences from the wider institutional environment gives collective meaning value legitimize multiculturalism academic discourse topic. Using cross-national design, examined national-level characteristics associated formation education. Scholarly articles published field by 2020 were collected using platform Web Science. A total 105 14,220 analyzed multiple regression analysis. Our results showed stronger ties global civil society likely have education, indicating higher institutionalization level relevant within country.
